Methods of treatment of rectal prolapse
Prolapse of the rectum, or the so-called prolapse of the rectum, is a change in the natural position and going beyond the anus of the rectum in the distal section.

Causes of occurrence

  • Anal prolapse is a polyetiological disease that can result in:
  • spinal injury;
  • weakness of the ligamentous apparatus of the intestine;
  • genetic pathology;
  • heavy, often late birth;
  • impaired rectal sphincter function;
  • non-traditional sex;
  • weight lifting;
  • chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract;
  • gynecological or urological operations.

Most often, a combination of several reasons leads to such a rare pathological condition as prolapse of the rectum.

Symptoms of a violation

  • In acute and chronic course of the disease, a general symptom complex can be distinguished:
  • abdominal pain;
  • exit of a part of the rectum from the anus;
  • sensation of a foreign object;
  • copious discharge of mucus from the anus;
  • constipation.

The symptomatology of rectal prolapse resembles hemorrhoids: prolapse of tissues from the anal canal, bleeding from the anus, soreness. The difference between these diseases is that with hemorrhoids the problem is localized within the anal canal, and with prolapse, the deeper part of the rectum is affected.

Methods for treating the disease
Highly qualified proctologists of the GATLING-MED clinic use various methods of treating a pathological condition:

  • medication;
  • non-drug;
  • operational.

To establish a diagnosis in this case is simple: it is enough to examine and palpate the patient. The diagnosis is confirmed after determining the skin reflex from the perianal skin and the tone of the rectal locking apparatus.

Based on the research results, a specific treatment technique is selected based on the condition of a particular patient. GATLING-MED specialists apply the whole range of modern techniques, including effective authoring.
